Complaints: The patient presented with severe varicose veins…
Diagnosis: Diagnosed with ‘Khalitya’ (hair fall), ‘Palitya’ (whitening of hair), and ‘Pith pradhan rakt dushti’ (impure blood), the decision was made at ‘Ancient Secret’ to employ leech therapy for treating hair loss.
Treatment: A treatment plan of 15 sessions over six months, with a 15-day interval, was recommended. This included leech therapy sessions along with local applications and internal ayurvedic medicines.
Result: After just two sessions, the patient experienced reduced fluffiness and swelling on the face. By the third session, the early transplanted hair became soft and manageable. Sessions four and five witnessed a reduction in skin allergies and an improvement in the skin quality on the face. Dryness of lips diminished, and mouth ulcers healed. By the seventh session, baby hair began to emerge, and by the ninth session, both baby and transplanted hair length increased. Hair density visibly improved by the tenth session. The patient,, regaining confidence, expressed happiness with the positive transformation in his personality. This case exemplifies the effectiveness of ayurvedic science and leech therapy in successfully reversing hair loss.
